Transport options for the disabled

We provide the following transport options:

Non-Urgent Medical Transport

Non-urgent medical transport can be arranged for doctors and allied health appointments and services such as physiotherapist, dentist, hydrotherapy, chiropractors, podiatrists, optomotrist, dialysis, QRI (Queensland Radium Institute). Transport to day respite, nursing homes and hostels or other designated venues can also be arranged. A nominal fare is charged. Organisations/Groups may book the bus for outings outside Ipswich as well as locally. Payment methods accepted are cash, cheque and direct debit.

Regular Medical Centre & Shopping Trips

This door-to-door service picks people up from their homes and takes them to shopping and medical centres, returning approximately 2.5 hours after arrival. Pickups commence at 8:15am. At the designated centre drop-off point, the driver will notify all clients of the exact departure time.

Please note that a minimum of 10 passengers is needed for trips to Redbank, Mt Ommaney, Orion and River Link and 15 passengers are required for trips to Aspley, Browns Plains, Chermside, Indooroopilly, Toombul, Garden City, Ikea and Carindale.

"Repeating appointments" can be made for someone to participate regular visits to their chosen medical or shopping centre.

Bookings for medical centre and shopping trips must be made no later than 48 hours before the scheduled date. Please telephone us on 3282 7877 between 9am and 12 noon Monday to Friday.

Travel Club

The CODI Travel Club organises special day trips, short extended tours and longer holidays to locations further afield in Australia (such as Adelaide, Sydney, Canberra, St Helens island). CODI Travel Club visits different locations on the third Saturday of the month. These trips are fully catered so as to continue the care and concern and the importance of our seniors in our community as well as within our organisation.

Charter Work

Charters help us to support the disabled in the Ipswich community.

CODI is operator accredited by the Department of Transport and is available for charter, day, night or extended trips at very competitive prices. Organisations/groups may book one of our buses for outings outside of the Ipswich area as well as locally. Speciality Tours can be arranged, e.g. Winery Tours to Sunshine Coast, Tamborine, South Burnett or Southern Downs.
