Providing Door to Door Affordable Non-Urgent Medical Transport to the residents of Ipswich and the West Moreton Region.

CODI stands for the Co-ordinating Organisation for the Disabled in Ipswich. We are a non-profit organisation providing transport for the frail, aged, disabled and transport disadvantaged in the Ipswich and West Moreton regions as well as anyone living in the region requiring Medical Transport. Our transport services span westwards to Walloon, south of the river as far as Springfield and as far east as Oxley (including Inala and Jindalee). At present, we are partially funded by HACC for the Ipswich and West Moreton area only.

The CODI service is open to anyone who is a resident of the Ipswich and West Moreton area. At CODI we have two types of clients. Subsidised Clients and Non Subsidised Clients.

  • Subsidised Clients are people who have been assessed for transport needs and who are Independently Living and have a permanent functional disability.
  • A Non Subsidised Client (private passenger) is any person who resides in the area, and is not eligible for government subsidy.
    • Please contact our friendly staff to see if you are eligible for a subsidy.

Bookings for Non-Urgent Medical Transport must be made between 9am to 12 noon, for example, bookings for Non-Urgent Medical Transport must be made at least 24 hours before transport is required.

As a registered charity we rely on donations from the public and generous organisations. We hold Public Liability Insurance of at least $10 million. All our drivers wear uniforms and are selected on their ability to uphold our proud reputation of being professional in providing reliable and caring help. We ensure that all our vehicles are in top working order. With a fleet of eight vehicles we can be quite flexible. In the event of a break down in SE QLD an alternative bus is quickly arranged.
