Providing transport for the disabled

CODI is the Co-ordinating Organisation for the Disabled in Ipswich. We are a non-profit organisation providing transport for the frail, elderly and people with disabilities in the Ipswich and West Moreton regions. Our transport services span westwards to Walloon, south of the river as far as Springfield and as far east as Oxley (including Inala and Jindalee). At present, we are partially funded by HACC for the Ipswich West Moreton area only.

The CODI service is open to anyone who meets at least one of the following criteria:-

• be frail, aged or have a disability
• be a carer
• be living at home
• be a resident of Ipswich, West Moreton or Western Suburbs of Brisbane
• be transport disadvantaged

Bookings for non-urgent medical transport must be made between 9am to 12 noon, for example, bookings for non-urgent medical transport must be made before 12 noon at least one day before transport is required.

As a registered charity we rely on donations from the public and generous organisations. We hold Public Liability Insurance of at least $10 million. All our drivers wear uniforms and are selected on their ability to uphold our proud reputation in being professional in providing reliable and caring help. We ensure that all our vehicles are in top working order and replace unreliable buses. With a fleet of seven buses we can be quite flexible. If the break down is in SE QLD an alternative bus is quickly arranged.
